| When
the net is fully set between two ice holes, the lines
tied to each end of the net are kept above the ice and
hitched to a stake anchored in the ice next to the hole.
The length of these lines at the ends of the net control
the depth to which the net is set. Typically the lines
will be sent down a couple of hundred feet.
