WINDOWS VERSION

Download And Installation Instructions

Click the BoatNotes Software Download link above. When the download initiates, save the file to your computer's desktop.

During the installation, a warning prompt may appear stating that one or more .dll files cannot be found. Simply click "ok" and the necessary files will be installed to run the program. Depending on the number of .dll files that may need to be installed, you may need to click "ok" three or four times.

When the download is complete, double-click on the file you saved to your computer's desktop. This will initiate the BoatNotes installation. An installation wizard will open, through which you should answer and select "ok" or "yes"  to all of the wizard's questions.

When the BoatNotes Software installation is complete, a program launching icon will appear on your computer's desktop. Double-click the icon to launch the program.

MACINTOSH OSX VERSION

Download And Installation Instructions

Click the BoatNotes Software Download link above. When the download initiates, your Download Manager will show you the progress of the download. (Note: Your Download Manager may run behind any open programs you have running on your computer-- you may need to minimize these to view the Download Manager.)

BoatNotes will automatically download to your computer's desktop. Once the download is completed, the file will automatically unzip itself, and a folder will be placed on your desktop.

This folder contains all the files that make up the BoatNotes program. The file to launch the BoatNotes program is labeled LA BoatNotes. Click this file to launch the program.

If you wish, you may move this folder off your desktop, and, if you so choose, you may create an alias of the launch file and place that on your desktop.
