| The
lumber used in David's traditional furniture is harvested
locally from sustainably managed forests. These species
include white and yellow birch, red oak, red and hard maple,
and white pine. David also uses vertical grain douglas fir
harvested from the buildings of our industrial past by Duluth
Timber in Duluth, Minnesota.
The
pieces used in David's "Elegant Wild" furniture are
harvested as live trees from the ninety acres of his family's
home forest on the Bayfield peninsula.
